Hotel Federale - Lugano

The hotel's outdoor dining terrace offers fine views of the surrounding nature, making every meal a good experience.

Location: the hotel was so close to Bellinzona as well as the primary train station in the city. Local fast food option Manora was 10 minutes walk away.

Incredibly nice breakfasts with surrounded by birds and a nice atmosphere, for instance, the facilities were modern. During easter everything was memorable and we would consider staying here again.

The location is superb, just minutes from the train station. The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff, and the breakfast featured good quality items that fueled my adventures beautifully.

Some amenities feel dated, and the bathroom was cramped for comfort. Limited options for late dining meant I struggled to find food after hours, which dampened the experience somewhat.

dinner- prepared room service for us even though not really offered...were very accomodating.

We had 1 wonderful day here, do recommend the place. By and large, it was best base for sightseeing in Lugano, had much fun. We appreciated this pleasant and comfy hotel and its very central location on the lake side.

I almost woudl have given a good review, but my room's decor was a bit dated, and the shower over the bath was just awkward. The breakfast was chaotic, with too many people for the buffet. Considering how much i paid, i also expected a welcome gift, but clearly, that wasn't in their budget for me.

We were treated to an upgrade by the person at the front desk..she was so delightful! The hotel is so close to the train station, better directions should be given by Booked.net about reaching the hotel...its so close. The staff was always so accommodating and the breakfast was delightful.

The hotel is very close to the train station which made taking day trips easy. It is clean and neat. All of the hotel staff were very helpful and kind. Breakfast was yummy.

The shower pan was large enough but the shower curtain cut across the space. There was plenty of hot water, but you had to fight with the shower curtain.

I had an very nice two-night stay, enjoying really good meals every evening and a very comfortable, spacious room with a lovely view of the lake and mountains. I would definitely come back.

Great location just below train station with a great view of the lake. Rooms large and clean with views and staff friendly. Breakfast a good value.

Got an enjoyable and excellent breakfast included. The check in was quick, the staff was absolutely courteous and exceptionally welcoming. It was in a favourable and beautiful location with a Roman Catholic cathedral nearby. I ate at the outdoor restaurant near the hotel.

Didn't like the staff, some of them were not always friendly.

Recommend it for families with children

The staff were really good too make sure we were comfortable, bringing a baby bed without us even asking.

It wasn't cheap but still acceptable for the quality we received.

When we arrived and realised the size of our room for 3 adults and a baby they were more than accommodating when we asked to get a bigger room.

high price , hard to find even with GPS as there is only one way to come to the hotel and the sign on the street is too small and hard to be seen, especially at night
